Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. You will ensure productivity targets are met and maintain high levels of accuracy in inventory and stock control, while maintaining health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, inventory management, and shipping
- Supervise warehouse staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Implement efficient warehouse layout and space optimization techniques
- Ensure accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and audits
- Maintain inventory control systems (manual or digital)
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to streamline operations
- Enforce safety standards and conduct regular safety checks in compliance with regulations
- Prepare operational reports and suggest process improvements
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation
- Handle customer returns and damaged goods appropriately
- Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role (3+ years)
- Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management software (e.g., WMS, ERP)
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Working Conditions:
- Warehouse environment with physical activity and manual handling
- May require weekend or extended hours depending on operational needs
